Anne Saker spent forty years as a daily journalist. As health reporter at the Cincinnati Enquirer, she was on the team that earned the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting. In 2023, she was inducted into the hall of fame of the Greater Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists. WINK AT THE MOON is her first novel.

About the Book

It’s bad enough that nurse Josie accidentally caused the complication that killed her patient. Wheel and Keyboard

Six months into my expensive new hobby, I finally centered a pound of brown clay on a potter’s wheel and, for the first time, kept it all there to pull a cylinder three inches tall. Not a single bobble, start to finish. I sat up, wiped my hands.

Wow, I thought. This feels familiar.

Gather material on a work surface. Drill a foundation. Make the shape. And no matter the results, I must try again, immediately.
